The men of the Bible were not Jews. This is the fundamental misunderstanding. Jesus was not a Jew. He was a member of the ancient Judean people. Today’s Jews are a people with no genetic relationship with the ancient Judean people.
Jews’ religion (Talmudic Judaism) is farther away from the religion of the Old Testament than Christianity is. Talmudic Judaism was created from the 2nd century to the 5th century AD, based on the doctrines of the Pharisees and dismissing all the Old Testament religion, which was not applicable because the center of the Old Testament religion was the Temple and the Temple had been destroyed by the Romans in 70AD. The center of Judaism is not the Old Testament (which was not applicable because there was no Temple), but the Talmud (written during the first centuries of the Christian era) and its interpretations.
Jesus opposed the Pharisees, who where the ancient intellectual precursors of today’s Judaism. He told them harsh words, which are spread all over the gospels. He spoke of the «syn*gogue of Satan», which is also in Revelation. «I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you». (Revelation 3·:9)
The fact that people think that today’s Jew are the people of the Bible with modern clothes is only due to ignorance and manipulation. And to the fact that the Talmudic Jews appropriated the term «Jew», which should be only applicable to the ancient Judean people. A stroke of genius
